SecondWind is a structured 12-week movement program that rebuilds balance, strength, coordination, and confidence through non-contact boxing-inspired movement.
Led by two experienced coaches in a supportive small-group setting (maximum 8 participants), you'll train once a week for 3 months — then decide if you want to continue as an ongoing member.
This isn't a "senior fitness class."
This is a movement intervention for adults 50+ who want to maintain strength, prevent falls, and move with confidence for decades to come.
Balance and fall prevention are a direct outcome of the SecondWind program. Participants develop proprioceptive awareness — the body’s ability to sense and correct its own position — through progressive coordination drills that mirror real-life movement demands. After 12 weeks, most participants report measurable improvement in stability and confidence on uneven ground, stairs, and in daily movement.

Boxing-inspired movement is one of the most effective training modalities for adults 50+ because it trains bilateral coordination, reaction time, and rotational strength simultaneously. The rhythmic, pattern-based structure also supports cognitive function and neurological responsiveness — outcomes that standard gym training does not address. Impact-based movement, even in non-contact form, provides the mechanical stimulus the skeletal system needs to maintain and rebuild bone density.

Reduce fall risk and move with confidence in daily life

Build the strength you need for real life — not just the gym

Impact-based movement that supports long-term skeletal health

Boxing drills improve reaction time, focus, and brain function

Train with others who understand what it takes to stay strong at 50+

Feel capable, powerful, and ready for anything

Pedro Alvarado has spent his career working with bodies that have been through things. As BodyTech’s Lead Movement Coach, he specializes in functional strength, active aging, and helping people rebuild confidence in their own movement — whether they’re returning after injury, surgery, or just a long time away from training. SecondWind grew out of his belief that 50 is not a ceiling. It’s a starting point.
